Professional Relationships
How commercial relationships work here, and what they do and do not mean.
Why relationships exist
Publishing costs money. Rather than gate the material, we fund it through product sales, disclosed sponsorship, affiliate arrangements, and relationships with a small number of professional firms.
What an introduction means
If you ask to speak with someone, we may introduce you to an independent professional who works with U.S.-connected clients. That professional is responsible for their own advice, licensing, and engagement terms. We do not supervise them and we do not verify their advice.
What an introduction does not mean
It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a statement that the professional is the best fit for your situation. Ask about credentials, jurisdictions, conflicts, and fees before engaging anyone.
Compensation
We may be compensated for sponsorship or for a professional relationship. Any such compensation is disclosed and does not change editorial conclusions.
